Hotel and Location Information

ICER 2007 will be held on the campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia. The nearby Wyndham Midtown Atlanta hotel is providing conference accomodations.

Conference lodging will be provided by the Wyndham Midtown Atlanta. Accommodations can be made at the conference rate of $119 per night (plus taxes) through the Wyndham Hotel. When you call, please specify ICER 07 when making your reservation to ensure you get the group rate. If you are booking via the web, you'll need to use booking group code 0913518ic to get the conference rate (click "Search using Corporate, Promo and Group codes" to access the input box). Conference rates are available until August 27th; please make your reservations prior to that deadline.

In order to get free wireless internet access, as well as other amenities, you will need to sign up in advance for the Wyndham ByRequest program. If you have already made your reservation, be sure to call the hotel and ask them to add your ByRequest member number to your reservation.

Getting to the Wyndham

Attendees traveling by air should make arrangements to arrive at the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). Several ground transportation options are available from the airport to the hotel:

• Taxi fare from the airport to the Wyndham is approximately $28.00 each way ($2.00 for each additional person).
• Shuttle service is available from Atlanta LiNK for $33.00 round trip. Reservations must be made in advance.
• The Wyndham is also conveniently accessible by the MARTA metro train. A one way MARTA ticket costs $2.25, and the trip from the airport takes about 20 minutes. Riders can take either northbound train and should exit at the "N4 Midtown" stop. From the Midtown station the hotel is approximately 2 blocks to the east on 10th street.

Conference registration and sessions will take place in the Georgia Tech Global Learning Center. The university campus and conference venue are a short walk through Midtown Atlanta from the Wyndham hotel (0.7 miles). Consult the area map below for more information. For those not wishing to walk to campus, the Wyndham will be providing a shuttle to and from the conference. Additionally, the complimentary campus shuttle (The Tech Trolley) departs approximately every 10 minutes from the Peachtree Place side (not the 10th Street side) of Midtown subway station, and it makes its first stop directly across the street from the Global Learning Center.

Pre/post-conference activities will be held in the Technology Square Research Building located at 85 5th Street NW, directly across the street from the conference center.
