The Raytheon Faculty Fellowship

The College is seeking applications for the 2012-2013 Raytheon E-Systems Faculty Fellowship interdisciplinary seed grant award. This award will be made to provide support for one half-time Graduate Research Assistant for the academic year (Fall 2012 & Spring 2013) co-advised by two College Faculty from different Schools. The purpose of this award is to foster innovative research and inter-School collaboration within the College. The nomination should include the following:
- The names of the individuals and their units.
- A brief description (no more than 2 pages) of a project or initiative that can be carried out in one year that demonstrates collaboration between at least two of the three CoC schools/divisions (CS, IC, CSE).
- An impact statement (no more than 1 page) that indicates how successful completion of the project or initiative demonstrates college-wide leadership in interdisciplinary research.
Nominees may want to consider describing in general terms how the Fellowship funds will be used to foster cross-college collaboration. Self-nominations are encouraged. Multiple nominations are welcomed. Nominations are due to the Associate Dean for Research no later than March 1, 2013. Results will be announced at the College's Spring Awards Ceremony.
