BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Borodovsky is Director of the Center for the Bioinformatics and Computational Genomics. Research focus of the lab is on developing algorithms for computational analysis of biological sequences with the goal of inferring functional properties of biological macromolecules. Our primary interest is on protein-coding genes, regulatory sites, mobile genetic elements. The new algorithms have to account for probabilistic nature of biological sequence evolution and, therefore, probabilistic models lie play important role in the algorithm framework.
