Today, studying abroad is no longer an option, it’s a necessity. As we expand boundaries of knowledge and technology, international experience is crucial for you to remain competitive in the global job market.
Employers know that students who have successfully completed a study abroad program possess international business knowledge and often second-language skills. Other valuable transnational competencies include:
- cross-cultural communication skills
- analytical skills
- an understanding of and familiarity with local customs and cultural contexts
- flexibility
- resilience
- the ability to adapt to new circumstances and deal constructively with differences
Before graduating, every student at Tech is encouraged to participate in at least one of over 40 international experiences offered here. The College of Computing offers many computing-specific opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students earning their degree.
