THE ENVIRONMENT MENU
The Environment menu provides different viewing options for the AquaMOOSE world. Changes made using this menu are not permanent; they only affect the current world. This menu can help put spatial concepts into perspective.
Change World
A world is an underwater environment in which your fish can swim. There are four worlds: BigCube, Fishtank, LavaTubes, and TheWell. You can use this option to switch worlds. Each world is a different size; so if your move will not fit in one you may want to try the largest, BigCube.

Selected Trail Properties
This option allows you to edit the properites of the selected trail (when you click on a trail, you can tell it is selected because it gains a bright, animated color effect). You can also right-click on a trail and choose Properties to get to the Selected Trail Properties dialog.
- Segments
- You can edit the number of segments used to draw the trail. Increasing the number of segments will make the trail smoother and more detailed, but it will also increase computation time and possibly make animation choppy. Lowering the number of segments will make the trail have less detail, but it will be drawn faster. Using a high number of segments results in a more accurate rendering of your equations. Using a low number of segments often results in interesting designs.

- Width
- Increasing or decreasing the width affects the thickness of the trail. Width ranges from 0.01 to 0.10.

- Color
- You can choose two colors that will be used to render the trail.
- Animation
- The No Animation option indicates that the trail will be drawn using only the Primary Color you chose.
- Pulse indicates that the trail's color will fade back and forth from the Primary Color you chose to the Secondary color. You can choose the Pulse Time, which is the amount of time it takes the trail to fade from the Primary Color to the secondary color and back to the Primary Color. At any given instant, all the points on a pulsing trail will be the same color, but that color will change over time.
- Wave indicates that the trail's color will fade between the Primary and Secondary color along the length of the trail. This effect is similar to stripes on a candy cane. You can choose the Speed of the wave, which is the distance each color will travel along the trail in one second. You can also choose the Wavelength, which is the distance between a stripe on the trail and the next stripe of the same color.
