PLAY RING TRACKS
You can play ring tracks and courses created by others. See Ring Tracks for details on ring tracks and courses in general.
- SPIRAL BASIC TRAINING
The tracks in the Spiral Basic Training get increasingly more complicated. Try guessing the parametric equations necessary to complete each track in this course.
- Set up the Course
- Under the Gallery tab, open Other People, then Samples, and then Ring Courses.
- Now double-click on Spiral Basic Training. The first track, Straight Move, will be set up in the display area.
 Straight Move Ring Track
- Guess the Math Move
- Navigate around the world so you get a good look at the ring arrangement.
- Try using the Axes option under the Environment menu. Axes are only available with First Person view.
- Now enter in an equation that you think will go through all the rings in this first Spiral Basic Training track.
- Look at the Feedback Area to see if you got it correct. If you missed some rings, keep trying equations until you guess the right one.
- Try the Next Track
- Once you have guessed the first move correctly, try the next track. Click the right arrow at the bottom of the Move tab to set up the rings.
- Try to guess the equations for this set of rings.
- After you have figured out the equation for each track in the course, click the arrow to move on to the next.
- They build on each other so none of the equations will be very different.
- Hint: You may have to use some multiplication.
If you did not figure out all the equations, go to Create a Ring Course and create the Spiral Basic Training course with the instructions provided. These examples will also help you learn how to make your own ring tracks and courses.
