If I'm not mistaken, I'll be presenting www.epinions.com in seminar this
wednesday. I found that the quickest way to learn about epinions was to
click help in the upper right of the home page, and look at the FAQs. The
most pertinent FAQs to us at elc are probably The Web of Trust, Earnings,
and Top Reviewers. Read at least these to get a good feel for the system,
and then look around at some of the reviews and/or essays about products
that you are interested in. I'd like to begin the discussion by analyzing
epinions as a social network and by relating epinions to cowebs.
