In January, we asked the students of the College of Computing at Georgia Tech, “what does ‘The New Face of Computing” mean to you?” Eleven teams of student filmmakers responded with digital film shorts they shot and edited in one week, those films were presented to the Georgia Tech community at the Red Carpet Premier and Awards Ceremony on March 2, 2007.
All eleven teams were judged by a panel of computing and media experts. The winning teams received Apple Macbooks®, iPods® and iPod Shuffles® for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places respectively. Judging criteria included message, overall quality, and technical excellence.
