QUALCOMM ANNOUNCES EUDORA PRO 2.2; INCLUDES NATIVE WINDOWS '95 AND MAPI SUPPORT

The Internet's Most Popular E-Mail Software Adds Greater Functionality and
Compatibility

BOSTON - November 28, 1995 - QUALCOMM Incorporated (NASDAQ:QCOM), a leader
in advanced electronic messaging solutions for the Internet and wireless
communications, today announced the planned release of version 2.2 of its
award-winning Eudora Pro for Windows electronic mail software. The new
version provides native 32-bit Windows `95 and Windows NT support, as well
as compatibility with MAPI-compliant applications. These new features will
open the door for a great many more users to take advantage of the superior
Internet messaging capabilities offered by Eudora Pro.

"There are a great many advantages to offering the Eudora Pro software in
native 32-bit format, including speed, performance and compatibility," said
Craig Brenner, senior manager of worldwide marketing for the QUALCOMM
Enterprise Software Technologies Group. "Today's users require powerful
applications, including e-mail, for both Internet and corporate `Intranet'
access. Eudora Pro 2.2's support for Windows `95 and Windows NT, as well as
its MAPI-compliant application support will add an entirely new level of
messaging productivity for our users. Eudora Pro 2.2 is currently the best
answer for users' electronic communications needs."

QUALCOMM has implemented a version of Microsoft's Messaging Application
Programming Interface (MAPI) in Eudora Pro 2.2, enabling users to send
e-mail via Eudora Pro directly from any MAPI-compliant application. Using
Eudora Pro 2.2, users can e-mail documents as attachments from within
standard word processing, presentation, spreadsheet and other
MAPI-compliant applications. With Eudora Pro 2.2, when mail is sent from
within a MAPI-compliant application, Eudora intercepts the MAPI
instructions and opens with the user's document attached to a new outgoing
mail message.

Eudora Pro 2.2 is an Internet-based electronic mail application that
provides feature-rich, enterprise- and Internet-wide messaging and
information productivity services. Based on the award-winning Eudora
software originally introduced in 1988, Eudora Pro delivers the ease of
integration and superior functionality valued by MIS professionals and
Internet enthusiasts alike. Key features of Eudora Pro 2.2 include:

- Built-in spell checking

- User-definable message filtering

- Native 32-bit support for Windows `95 and Windows NT

- Support for long file names

- MAPI support

- Color-coded message labeling

- Internal URL launching capabilities to navigate the World Wide Web

Price and Availability

Eudora Pro 2.2 carries a suggested list price of $89 and will be available
in mid-January `96 through nearly all major U.S. retail chains, including
Best Buys, Comp USA, Egghead Software, Fry's Electronics, Incredible
Universe and MicroCenter. A free upgrade to version 2.2 will be available
to current Eudora Pro 2.1.2 users via QUALCOMM's FTP site and world wide
web at http://www.qualcomm.com in mid-December. Eudora Pro is also
available through mail order catalogs, such as Micro Warehouse, Multiple
Zones International (MAC Zone and PC Zone) and PC Connection, Inc. (MAC
Connection and PC Connection). Additionally, a Windows `95 version of
Eudora Light will be available on QUALCOMM's FTP and world wide web. For
