I have the DAT recorder, but I am not sure how great the recording quality
is going to be without a mixer.

What microphone did you use to record on the current DAT tape in the
recorder? If you have it, could you bring it?
I hooked it up to my workstation at home and it seems to work from there
with my soundcard as the amplifier. It does not work very well without an
amp. I don't think I want to wheel my computer into the classroom
tomorrow, so I will probably just use that analog tape player again.
Also, I don't know where that projector is.
