Things that still need to be accomplished:
1) negative thumbnails - shouldn't be too hard (but Netscape has bugs
running JavaScript in tables...we'll see)
2) better info on sounds linked inside notes (this is a hard one...the
best I can do right now is Slide x Audio Link n). we'll need a new
naming scheme instead of ...101096_0000000.ram if we're gonna give the
necessary information on the link in the notes (the only thing i can grab
with JavaScript is the filename).
Things to note:
This is, of course, a prototype. So a few things don't work. Changing
the date in the dropdown menu only works for Jan 30 (press edit or
view after changing the date). If you are on any other date, pressing
edit or view will send you to a bogus URL (Netscape will explain that
further).
S/I, of course, allow you to switch between viewing your own notes and
the instructor's notes. The default radio button is S, which stands for
Student. I stands for Instructor. Clicking on the edit button while I is
checked gives you the editor for the student's own notes (not the
Instructors -- I suspect there's a presentation problem here, but the Web
isn't very flexible). Clicking on view allows you to view the
Instructor's notes. Again, only Jan 30 is a "live selection"
None of the Audio links work in this version work. Amend that... I just
made the two links in the first Table (Jan 23 Slide 1) work ... They link
too.
There's a real presentation problem with the edit box. And Netscape
won't bend on this one.
Paul, all of the html files are in working order, and you can start your
scripting process using them as a guide. I've tried to make as many
comments (helpful comments) as possible. Call me if you need help.
