Lots of work this morning...

* Class today will be in CC102... YUP. 102

* Slides have been loaded on the LiveBoard- it's all
"ret to ga!"

* The Toshibas and 730Ts need to be brought down to the class.

* The tables and chairs are all set up.

* I have a key to the rack cabinet and I'm not giving it back. :)

* There's a really cool new background on the Liveboard.

* The Liveboard is fully configured for network and general use.

* The ceiling mikes tend to shut themselves off if there's not
a certain threshold of noise. Tried to fix that, but it's
out of our control. I don't know how much this will affect us-
I've tuned them the best I could, be we may occasionally lose
a word or two if there's lots of silence and whispering.

PAUL:

Talk about making life easy. The Liveboard is all set to encode
from a live audio source. In fact, I just encoded something from
the dat.

I'm not talking about *LIVE* encoding- tho we can do that very
easily too- but rather recording from the DAT machine.

If we want- we can do *LIVE* encoding too- I didn't seem to have
any difficulty in setting that up to record to a file.

Do we wanna try that? It would look like this:

1) start the DAT. This doesn't have to be synched since
we're encoding live.

2) start the encoder

3) start classpad

Not too hard, eh? Wanna try? Easy as pie. Blueberry. No, Apple.

PS. Headphone are on TOP of the cabinet, DAT tapes are below the
machine- though we could probably store them in the Liveboard.

I gotta get food.

Enjoy,
Jason
