Grad/Faculty Tea Hosting Reminder: 1. You have ____ to spend, although don't fret if you go a bit over. 2. Plan for at least 50 people. 3. Utensils, plates, cups, and napkins will be provided so you do not need to purchase them yourself. Drinks will also be provided. Basically, all you need to get is the food. Talk to the coordinator about access to the supplies before the tea. 4. If you purchase the items yourself, apply for a refund. The caveat is that the refund may take a while to process. You will need to sign your receipts and provide your SS#. Receipts must be itemized. Don't just have a piece of paper with FOOD $200 written on it. It will be rejected by the foundation. Turn in all receipts to Jana in CoC Rm. 156. 5. If you have a theme picked out, send it to mjcramer@cc.gatech.edu so it can be added to the web page. 6. Remember that many students are vegetarian and/or Jewish so if your meal contains meat try to have both a meatless and porkless option. Consider making a sign for foods for which there might be a question of meatlessness and/or porklessness. If you wish to consider serving kosher, I know of the following places: Bijan's 770 457-4578 Broadway Cafe 404 329-0888 Wall Street Pizza 404 633-2111 7. Announcement Suggestions: - Please announce your tea at least one day in advance on git.cc.students.grad. If your tea is not at the regular time, also send this advance announcement to phd-list@cc, ms-list@cc, faculty@cc, and communications@cc. - Make an announcement to phd-list@cc, ms-list@cc, faculty@cc, communications@cc right before your tea. - Please include the exact phrase "Grad/Faculty Tea" in your subject lines so people can filter out Grad/Faculty Tea messages if they so desire. 9. Send any questions you have to mjcramer@cc.gatech.edu 10. Clean up for the Grad/Faculty Tea is *VERY* important. Please make sure that the tables are wiped off and returned if necessary, all trash is picked up, and the place is left how you found it. 11. Please send me (mjcramer@cc) a total cost for your tea. I have to track expenditures to insure that we do not go over budget. Thanks again for hosting! -MJCramer, beloved yet firm dictator of Grad/Faculty Tea Affairs
