aboutI am a third year PhD student in the College of Computing at Georgia Tech, advised by Jeff Pierce. My PhD research, in the area of Human Computer Interaction, focuses on dividing interfaces across multiple devices. I implemented a framework called DIAMOND to support the design of divisible interfaces and I plan to study applications and interaction methods enabled by this framework. I also serve as a mentor in the Intel Opportunity Scholars program where I advise three undergraduate students on projects related to handheld device interaction. I graduated from Washington and Lee University in 2002 with a B.S. in Computer Science and Mathematics.
recent I've been up to lots of things in the past few months. I got married at the end of January and we took a cruise to Cozumel and Grand Cayman for our honeymoon. Once back in Atlanta, we wasted no time getting a new pet, Oscar the dog. In the past several weeks, I wrapped up a paper submission on DIAMOND and attended CHI 2005 in Portland, Oregon.
ta information This semester, I am the TA for CS 4750, Human Computer Interaction, taught by Gillian Hayes. I will hold office hours in my office in TSRB Thursdays from 2:00pm - 3:00pm or by appointment. Please see my Contact page for directions to my office.
