About me

I am a CS PhD candidate at the College of Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology. I am member of the GTISC CISEC lab where I work under the supervision of Dr. Mustaque Ahamad and Dr. Patrick Traynor as graduate research assistant.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Electronic and Communication Engineering at Universidad de Panama, Panama. Then, I worked for almost 5 years as an information security professional in Panama. After that, I was granted a Fulbright scholarship to study a MS in Information Security at the College of Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology which I completed in Spring 2007.

Research interests

My research focuses on the analysis, design, optimization and evaluation of network security protocols for large-scale Internet systems such as VoIP and Web applications. In particular, I have developed more robust, efficient and scalable authentication mechanisms in this area. I am also interested in the security challenges of VoIP, web applications, mobile platforms and cloud computing and in privacy preserving technologies.
