Hyewon is a Ph.D. graduated from College of Computing at Georgia Institute of Technology. Her advisers are Prof. Mostafa Ammar and Prof. Ellen Zegura. Hyewon received her MS degree in computer science from Georgia Institute of Technology in 2006. She also received her MS and  BS degrees in mathematics from Yonsei University in Korea, at 1998 and 1996, respectively. Her research interests are in the development of networked services and systems for emerging network environments such as IP multimedia subsystems and mobile ad-hoc/sensor/mesh networks. She is currently working on the scheduling issues of wireless interfaces to save energy in Disruption Tolerant Networks/Message Ferrying projects.
