SID, a Shopping Information Device Interface


The project our group has undertaken is the design of a shopping aid. We hope to make it easier and faster for a patron of a large department store to find an item he or she desires. These types of systems exist already, but we feel we can make significant improvements in the interfacing to these systems. Often they are too simple to be of much help, or so difficult to figure out that the average customer decides not to bother. Currently, we have developed three alternative interface designs which we feel are significantly different from what exists in today's stores. So keep reading...
