I’m a third year Ph.D. student in Robotics at the College of Computing, Georgia Institute of Technology. I work at the Socially Intelligent Machines Lab and my advisor is Andrea Thomaz. I am interested in exploring research problems at the intersection of Machine Learning and Human-Robot Interaction. In particular, I’m interested in Social Learning, Learning from Demonstration and Interactive Machine Learning for robots.
I am a former member of the Kovan Research Lab. I received my M.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Turkey. I have a B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a minor degree in Mechatronics from METU. I did my master thesis with Asst. Prof. Erol Sahin and the title of my thesis is “Robot Planning Based on Learned Affordances”.
