I’m a second year Ph.D. student in Robotics at the College of Computing, Georgia Institute of Technology. I am member of the Socially Intelligent Machines Lab and my advisor is Andrea Thomaz. I’m interested in social and individual learning strategies for making robots discover properties and functions of objects in their environments.

I am a former member of the Kovan Research Lab. I received my M.Sc. degree in Computer Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Turkey. I have a B.Sc. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a minor degree in Mechatronics from METU. I did my master thesis with Asst. Prof. Erol Sahin and the title of my thesis is “Robot Planning Based on Learned Affordances”.
