I am a member of BORG lab &
Computational Perception lab,
GVU, College of Computing, Georgia Institute of Technology.
My academic advisers are Dr. Frank Dellaert
and Dr. James M. Rehg.
Research Interests
Statistical learning approach to Machine Learning for Machine Perception.
Applications of interests include robotics and computer vision.
In general, I am equally interested in learning and inference on graphical models, statistical modeling, optimization,
tracking, time-series modeling, activity discovery, behavior modeling, Monte-Carlo approaches, SLAM and learning-based robot control.
Research Proejcts
LAGR project (2005 May - Current)
- Learning Applied to Ground Robotics. Machine learning, computer vision, statistical inference.
- Publication appears in ICRA-06.

Switching Linear Dynamic System (SLDS) (2004 Oct - Current)
- Machine learning, time-series modeling, statistical inference with emphasis on biological application for honeybee dance analysis.
- Publications appeared in AAAI-05, ICCV-05, CVPR-06, TechReports.

BioTracking Project (2004 May - Current)
- We try to enable computers to automatically track the group of insects, and interpret their communication
messages. I am mostly involved in the automatic behavior interpretation tasks.
- Publications appeared in AAAI-05, ICCV-05, CVPR-05, CVPR-06.

Localiztion for the Blinds (2003 Aug - 2004 Apr, 2006 Spring)
- High-precision tracking, particle filtering (a sequential Monte Carlo method), GPS.
- The developed tracking technique is now being used by GeorgiaTech System for Wearable Audio Navigation (SWAN).
- Publication appeared in IROS-04.
