Wu, Jianxin

I am a Ph.D. student in the College of Computing in Georgia Institute of Technology. I am a graduate research assistant with Prof. Jim Rehg. Now I am working place category recognition, and worked on fast and robust object detection and activity recognition. I am equally interested in statistical machine learning.

I got my B.S. and M.E., both in Computer Science, from the Department of Computer Science and Technology in Nanjing University. Nanjing University has just had its centennial celebration held on May 20th, 2002. In Nanjing University, I was part of the Machine Learning & Neural Networks Research Group, led by Prof. Zhi-hua Zhou.

Quick pointer:

Source code for place instance and category recognition is updated to version 2.0

The cascade learning code is updated to version 1.3 -- testing speed is greatly improved. Two trained cascade are included, see Readme in the package for more details. Also, a live demo  is included. An license file is added which allows free usage for individual research purpose.
