Yang Chen is a Ph.D. candidate at College of Computing in Georgia Institute of Technology. His advisors are Prof. Mostafa Ammar and Prof. Ellen Zegura. His research interests are characteristic and service model of disruption tolerant networks.

Yang received his MS degree in computer science from State University of New York at Buffalo in 2003. During his study at SUNY Buffalo, Yang did research work on optical burst switching with Prof. Chunming Qiao. He also received his MS in EE from Hong Kong Univeristy of Science and Techolongy in 2001. Yang finished his dual BS degree in EE and English from Xi'an Jiaotong University, China in 1999.
