GVU Research Showcase Spring 2022

Featured Projects

We analyze challenges in using CSCW technologies for practicing grassroots politics and offer suggestions on how to address them through creating a localized culture of technology practice
We aim to understand how conversational agents such as the Google Home can be used to help members with Mild Cognitive Impairment and their care partners in adhering to their medication routines with the help of scheduling features of the Google Home.
This project is exploring ways of using air gesture technologies, audio and haptic to facilitate exploration of STEM concepts by blind and low vision learners. Efforts will establish the efficacy of this approach, as well as best practices for creating air gesture interfaces that support exploration of a virtual reality space such as a simulated atom, wind tunnel or electrical system- all without the use of vision.
