NSF Educational Technology Workshop

NOTE: The final report of the workshop is available in PDF format. The draft version below has mostly the same content, but is easier to download on slower net connections.

An NSF Workshop on setting a Computer Science research agenda in educational technology was held in October 1995 in Washington, D.C, jointly sponsored by both the CISE and EHR Divisions of the National Science Foundation. Some 80 leaders in educational technology, including researchers from both education and computer science, participated in a weekend session addressing the role of Computer Science research in furthering the potential of educational technology. This is the DRAFT report of that workshop. The workshop was organized and the report is edited by Rick Weingarten of Computing Research Association and Mark Guzdial of Georgia Institute of Technology

The Call for Proposals for the new research program informed by this workshop is now available.
