Students solved these problems in design[ED] Lab (Design Education Lab), a user experience workshop that introduced teenagers and pre-professional adults to design-thinking, to encourage problem solving and critical thinking skill development. This workshop was in partnership with The Bridge Academy (College Park, GA), a full-time High School Diploma and GED Prep program offering a nontraditional path for students.
The communication delay inherent in deep space travel will make relying on ground-based mission control to manage the daily lives of astronauts difficult. To mediate this impact, this work focuses on the design of a mixed-initiative plan (MIP) management system to provide crews with greater autonomy in adapting plans to reflect the current state of the mission. Specifically, this presentation will detail the creation of the user interface from requirements derivation through preliminary design.
We propose a general framework for character self-dressing interactions with simulated clothing. We show that by breaking the process of dressing into sub goals, we can design specific action controllers which, when combined allow a character to put on a garment via a user defined style.
