GVU Affiliates Join Advisory Board
GVU welcomes the three latest affiliates to join the GVU Industrial Advisory Board. They
are: Andersen Consulting, represented by Joe McCarthy; Fidelity Investments Center for
Applied Technology, represented by Tom Tullis; and Motorola, represented by Ken Crisler.
Andersen Consulting,
is a leading global management and technology consulting firm. The firm works with
clients from a wide range of industries to bring about far-reaching change by aligning
their people, processes and technology with their strategy. Since 1989,
Andersen Consulting's annual revenues have grown from just over $1 billion to
$8.3 billion in 1998. In addition, the firm serves more than
85 of the Fortune 100 largest global public companies and many of the world's leading

Fidelity Investments is the largest mutual
fund company in the world, serving more than 15 million investors. The company is

with a wide range of financial services. Customers include corporations,
non-profit organizations, financial institutions and advisors, as well as millions of
individuals worldwide. GVU is working with the Fidelity Center for Applied Technology.

Located at Georgia Tech, GVU (Graphics, Visualization & Usability) is an
interdisciplinary research center focused on discovering and teaching the principles
which make humans and organizations more effective. The Center is comprised of
more than 70 affiliated faculty members and 160 graduate students from disciplines such
as computing, psychology, engineering, architecture, and literature, communication and
culture. For the second time, GVU's graduate Ph.D. program in graphics/user interaction
ranks in the top five among computer science specialties at U.S. universities, according
to the 2000 edition of U.S. News & World Report Best Graduate Schools.
