Above is a picture of my wonderful fiance, Karen Powers. As you can see she likes backpacking in the Mountains (especially with me). This picture was taken just off the summit of Gregory Bald in the Smokey Mountains. It was a wonderful trip because it had just snowed. I strongly suggest Gregory Bald to anyone visiting the Smokies.

As is evident on the previous page Karen does not live in Atlanta. (We are currently trying to improve this situation.) She is a second year medical student at the Bowman Grey School of Medicine. I think she is going to make a wonderful doctor.

We became engaged on the Olympic Coast in Washington state. The coastal beaches of Olympic National Park are very romantic - it was the perfect place to propose. Follow this link for a neat description by Sarah Boomer. We have not yet set a date, but we plan to get married as soon as I graduate or she transfers to Emory medical school.
