Egbert Schlungbaum received his M.S. degree in Computer Science from the Technical University of Novosibirsk (Russia). Since 1985 he has been a research assistent at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Rostock (Germany). He received a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Rostock with thesis Knowledge-based tools inside of User Interface Management Systems in 1991. Since 1992 he has worked as a senior research assistent (reader) in Computer Science.
Research interests:
His research interests include model-based user interface software tools,
specification of human-computer conversation through formal and graphical
languages, and automatic generation of user interface software.
These points are investigated in the
TADEUS project
(TAsk-based DEvelopment of
USer interface software).
During his stay at GVU he will work on explicit user models in model-based
user interface software tools, and on user-centered generation of user interface
software in the
MASTERMIND project.
