Amnon Shabo

Amnon Shabois a former GVU faculty member. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the College of Computing. He received his Ph.D. in Science Teaching at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel, in 1994, where he developed HyperDiagram, a Customized Courseware Generator aimed at cost-effective creation of programs to teach hormonal feedback mechanisms. This work received the 1989 award for best work in Computer Sciences by the Israeli Association for Information Processing. He was also a co-founder (along with Hadassah Medical Organization) and director of a start-up company aimed at developing multimedia courseware for medical students and residents, and multimedia training programs for patients and their relatives. His current research interest is in processes of learning and teaching basic programming, as well as medicine/biology courseware.
