Juan D. Rogers is an Assistant Professor in the School of Public Policy, a Senior Research Associate in the State Data Center and Associate Director for the GVU WWW Survey. He has a undergraduate degree in electrical engineering from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, and received a Ph.D. in science and technology studies in 1996 from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. HIs graduate research focused on the interaction of institutional and technical factors in the development of the Internet into a broad general purpose infrastructure. His current research interests include the interaction of social and technical factors in the development of information technology, information policy, technology transfer and R&D policy and evaluation.
