Matthew Causey
(Ph.D., Stanford) is Assistant Professor
in the School of
Literature, Communication and Culture. He is the principal investigator
of the newly formed Performance and Technology Research Laboratory.
Prof. Causey's research interest and the direction of PTRL concern the
convergence of art, performance and technology. Prof. Causey teaches both
video production and the aesthetics and theory of new media in the Master's
Program in Information Design and Technology (IDT). In addition,
Prof. Causey continues his work as an artist working in the media of
video art and performance that incorporates hyper-mediated environments.
