I'm a fourth-year graduate student in
engineering
psychology at Georgia
Tech. During my first two years, I conducted and proposed
research in the area of visual depth
perception. However, by the end of my second year
I realized that the area in which I ultimately wanted to work was in
human-computer interaction (HCI). In particular I became interested in
software design. For my current Master's research I'm exploring
whether the design of computer
tutors can be improved by using a method of learning known as goal
directed guided exploration.
For the past year, I've also been
working with an interdisciplinary group in the GVU Center at
Georgia Tech. The group has a grant from the Office of Naval
Research to examine the role of cognitive multimedia in educational
technology. I've included a brief description of the work I've done on
the ChemLab program for this group
below as well.
