The NA3 Audio Server

Abstract:
NA3 is an audio server designed to provide a starting point for the
study of audio implementation in complex auditory displays, virtual
environments, and computer-supported collaboration systems. The NA3
server allows multiple clients to control multiple independent audio
sources in a shared auditory environment. The architecture of NA3
allows audio processing tasks to be distributed in a shared-memory or
message-passing MIMD parallel computer.
