GVU Research Showcase Spring 2022

Featured Projects

There are hundreds and thousands of professional conferences across the globe. While a lot of people come to seek new insights, learn and present, a huge chunk of people also look for networking opportunities with other attendees. However, initial discoveries were made that actually, there are some gaps in how attendees network with others especially before and after the conferences.
This project investigates the effect of providing this information on users’ virtual experience, wellbeing, and behavior in the dynamic real-world environment.
Scientists disagree about the effect of adding emotionally interesting details to learning materials. While some argue that interesting information enhances learning, others contend that interesting information is distracting. However, the issue might not be the interestingness of the information, but rather the relevance of the details to the main idea.
