Said Mohammadioun
Managing Partner , TechOperatorsSaid Mohammadioun is the Managing Partner of TechOperators, a technology venture capital firm in Atlanta.
Said Mohammadioun was CEO and Chairman of Synchrologic, Inc. for 7 years leading its growth and sale to Intellisync and subsequently to Nokia in 2006. Synchrologic provided wireless email service to wireless carriers such as Verizon Wireless. The company also sold a suite of other mobile applications and middleware to enterprise customers.
Said was the founder and CEO of Samna Corporation, a software company, from 1983 to 1990. He took Samna public in 1987 and sold it to Lotus 3 years later. Samna’s primary product, Ami Pro, became a major part of Lotus/IBM Smart Suite. He was an executive with a portfolio of product divisions at Lotus Development Corporation for the following four years. He has 9 years of other executive service at Intellisync and Lanier Business Products. He was a design engineer for 5 years.
Said has served on the board of 12 software companies and has made direct investments in as many others. He also serves on the advisory boards of GA Tech College of Computing and ATDC.
Said holds BS EE and MS EE degrees from Georgia Institute of Technology and an MBA from Georgia State University. He holds 8 patents with another pending and has been inducted into the Georgia Technology Hall of Fame.
