The Computational Science and Engineering Division of the College of Computing at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions. The Taylor Lab in the Biology and Math and Computer Science departments at Emory University is looking for ambitious individuals to fill multiple software engineering positions working on the Galaxy project. Galaxy (http://www.usegalaxy.org) is a software framework that (a) enables researchers to store, analyze, visualize and share genomic data and (b) provides genomic tool developers with the ability to deploy their tools within a complete analysis framework. Thousands of researchers worldwide use Galaxy on a daily basis. Galaxy is an open source project committed to the openness of scientific enterprise and is free for all.

We are currently seeking engineers with experience in (i) distributed computing and systems programming or (ii) usability and visualization, however candidates with other relevant experience will also be considered. Successful candidates will initially focus on making next generation sequencing (NGS) data analysis more widely reliable and accessible as well as participate in the development of bioinformatic tools in application areas such as re-sequencing, de novo assembly, metagenomics, transcriptome analysis and epigenetics.

This website is for a motivational speaker and trainer who specializes in HR training; i.e customer service development, diversity, employee empowerment, corporate ethics, etc. I don't need a lot of heavy hype, the site should be more corporate than edgy.

Here are some of my requirements:

The website should allow me to post a calendar of events that can be updated weekly.
The website should allow some type of "streaming videos." (Testamonials, snips of previous sessions, etc.)
The website should include a Paypal or other type of payment feature.

I can be flexible with the student's class schedule and will pay a fair rate. Also, I would like to see other websites they've done in the past that fit my ideas.

Part-time website development job in Physics

The School of Physics is looking for part-time help with website development. We will be migrating our current website into a new framework based on the Drupal content management system. Some web development experience such as use of PHP and MySQL is desirable. It would also be helpful to have some web design experience. The most important quality is a willingness to learn.

This job entails working with faculty and staff in Physics as well as with people from the College of Sciences who are working on a Drupal based template site which will be used as the foundation for the new Physics website. Good communication and customer service skills are important.

The position could start in December, and the work will likely continue through 2010. During the semester, the level of commitment would be flexible, but typically it would be around 15 hours per week. More hours are possible during the breaks. Hourly rates are competitive.
