HBK is searching for a creative and passionate software engineer to join our Core Trading Technology team in Dallas. We are working on a multi-year project to build HBK’s next-generation portfolio management system. Investment teams in Dallas, New York, Charlottesville, and London look to these systems for real time insight and to understand the impact of current, historical, and potential future market moves on our portfolio. New mobility, market, and speed requirements are driving major new development projects, and the team is expanding to meet the need.


The ideal candidate is results-focused, persistent, and can set high goals and achieve them. He or she has a mastery of multi-threaded programming, distributed system engineering, web application development and service oriented architectures. The candidate has proficiency in one or more of C++, C#, Python and JavaScript. He or she also brings a high level of integrity and accountability, and will take full ownership of personal commitments to the rest of the team. While experience in financial markets is desired, the successful candidate, at a minimum, has a strong interest in learning about the space.


Our systems are services, rich clients and web clients on Windows. We leverage a gamut of tools and libraries from open source and proprietary offerings. We are a low-ego, high-performance team with a very flat organizational structure. This position has a high potential to make an impact. We’re a close team that thrives on building great software!
