Liberty Mutual’s Information Technology department offers 2 entry-level programs: Technical Development Program (TDP) and IT Analyst Program (ITA).  In either role, you will be provided with classroom and on the job training as well as continued access to training and development opportunities, mentoring and long-term career growth.  More importantly, you will be engaged in meaningful work for an organization that is committed to “helping people live safer, more secure lives” everyday. 

Qualifications:  Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a technical or business discipline with a GPA of 3.0 or higher.  Generally 0-1 year of technical support experience (experience may be through technical internships).

 

Technical Development Program (TDP): 

The objective of TDP is to prepare entry-level Information Technology employees for future leadership roles in the organization by providing rotational experiences designed to develop business, technical, project management, and leadership skills.

 

Job responsibilities for assignment within TDP (Rotational Program):

  • A business rotation phase where you’ll learn about the complexities and challenges of a business and see how technology can provide critical solutions. 
  • A project and technical training phase where you will be part of a team that takes a software application development project from start to finish.  During this period you will also be given extensive training to prepare you for the various aspects of the project and upcoming rotations.
  • IT rotations where you’ll enhance your leadership, business, and technology skills while getting exposure to a diverse group of professionals in a variety of disciplines.

 

TDP positions may be located in any Liberty Mutual office for most phases of the program.  The project and technical training phase (12 months) will be located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Seattle, Washington. 

 

IT Analyst Program (ITA):

One of the core principles underlying Liberty Mutual’s IT organization is to design, engineer, and deliver efficient, reliable, quality, lean, and cost-effective solutions for our business clients. As an entry level IT Analyst, you will be exposed to a dynamically changing environment with a plethora of opportunity to learn and grow. You will combat complex problems and will be expected to come up with technical solutions that comply with our IT objectives and meet our business needs.

As an IT Analyst, you will be exposed to various fields of technical expertise as well as experience. We will help develop your career after strongly considering your areas of interest and focus. Whether it might be Software Development, Systems Administration, Technical Analyst, or Project Management, you will have a number of options to choose from as best suited.

 

IT Analyst positions will be located in several offices across the US including Portsmouth & Dover, NH; Boston, MA; Indianapolis, IN; Fairfield, OH; Wausau, WI; and Seattle, WA.
