Job Description:

The JAVA Programmer works under the direction of Lead and Senior Web Developers to create design documents from business requirements, develop code to implement designs, and participates in code deployment and production support.
The successful candidate must have experience and proficiency in HTML, Web Development using J2EE, Javascript, Java Beans, Java Servlets, Object Oriented Analysis and Design. The candidate should have experience and proficiency with XML, Web Services/SOAP,Linux and GUI design. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education:
The desired JAVA Programmer will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience. 2-4+ years experience in systems analysis and application program development, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
  • No relatives who are employed by UPS or any of its subsidiaries.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience.
  • 1+ years work related J2EE/JAVA programmer experience.
