Label Row is looking for a talented lead software engineer to join us to develop the backend infrastructure.  You will have a major role in the developmental process of an early stage startup. RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop the backend technical infrastructure which includes inventory management, database management, data mining etc.
• Fraud detection & response: secure online payment options for customers
• Implement new functionality, develop scalable code
• Convert business needs into functional code
• Create machine learning algorithms based on large amounts of data

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science/computer engineering from an accredited university 
• Strong Linux/UNIX background
• Knowledge of front end markup - CSS, HTML, Javascript
• Significant experience with Ruby on Rail/Python (3-5 years)
• Extensive knowledge of MySQL and/or mongoDB
• Worked with Amazon EC2/S3
• Test driven development
• Must be detail oriented and thorough in design and development
• Experience on big sites with real load

BONUS SKILLS

• Experience designing for mobile devices
