The Learning Management System Lead is responsible for leading the team providing day-to-day support for the Learning Management System. The responsibilities include vendor management, project management, SLA adherence tracking and issue escalation. The Learning Management System Lead will understand the learning/training needs for dealership personnel, corporate workforce, and supplier personnel and ensure the Learning Management System supports these needs. Maintain business convergence on the Learning Management System. Play a key role in system governance ensuring there is a single prioritized list of system issues and change requests. Manage system enhancement/change projects including development of business justification, business and technical requirements gathering, plan development, communication, status updates, and risk/issue management. Provide guidance to the team during the analysis, design, and testing of solutions. Apply project management expertise to improve productivity, increase efficiencies, mitigate risks, and resolve issues to ensure deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and meet the business needs. Research the emerging technologies and their potential application to the business and volunteer innovative ideas. Set and manage the business partner expectations. Assist in developing the annual budget, providing monthly forecasts and managing new spending requests and invoice approvals on an ongoing basis.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in application development and delivery
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in requirements gathering and tracing the deliverables back to the requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of project management experience managing major cross functional projects from project initiation to project closure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • Master's degree
  • Experience in Learning Management Systems is a plus
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and reasoning skills to gain support of business leaders, IT colleagues, IT leadership, and supplier partners
  • Strong ability to interact with all levels of the organization, including executives
  • Self-starter with the ability to quickly learn complex business processes and enjoy working in a fast paced/high energy team setting
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to hold the others accountable for their respective deliverables
  • Prior experience on a large project initiative
  • Ability to lead cross-functional team towards common solutions
  • Ability to work within an offshore application development supplier engagement model
  • Ability to multitask and work in a cross-functional setting
  • Problem solving and data analysis skills
  • Exhibit creative thinking while defining sound and practical solutions
  • Experience in successful deliveries with progressively increasing responsibilities
  • PMP training and certification a plus
  • Knowledge of automotive industry
