Description:

We are seeking a skilled and creative professional (or student) to help maintain, develop and improve our website. Selected individual must be able to work autonomously as well as in a team environment. Work schedule is flexible but individual must be able to help with all required tasks within a timely manner - depending on urgency.

Tasks may include: 

  • Create & manage testing environment
  • Assist with site launch and ongoing performance monitoring
  • Apply updates, patches, changes
  • Create functional requirements for new features, changes, etc
  • Analyze of tools, technologies, services that may integrate with site
  • Set up website analytic & reporting for ongoing monitoring.
  • Assist with managing development team (review code, bugs, enhancements)
  • Assist with testing changes & new features
  • Set up backup system and version control
  • Apply proper security to protect site from hackers
  • Development of a smartphone app may apply in future

 

Expertise Desired: 

  • Managing a website in a hosted environment (ie. GoDaddy)
  • LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
  • Basic networking
  • Web application development
  • Smartphone development (not mandatory)
  • Basic network security
