Teknas is an Atlanta-based Information Technology consulting firm.  One area of focus is delivering cloud-based IT security solutions to enterprise organizations.  Teknas is looking for an IT Professional Services Engineer to work directly with customers.  This Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing and troubleshooting a mission-critical cloud-based IT security solution.  The right candidate should be a self starter, a fast learner and have a desire to work with leading edge cloud technologies.

This is a full time position.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

*    Responsible for the architectural design and implementation of a cloud-based IT security solution within the customer’s environment
*    Production rollout support which includes monitoring the security solution post go-live and resolving any issues that are discovered by the client and client services teams (may require after hours support)
*    Handling technical issues with minimal need for supervision or assistance
*    Obtain and maintain required certifications for partnership with key vendors


REQUIREMENTS:

*    B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or Mathematics
*    Understanding of enterprise networking concepts and technologies (TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, SMTP, HTTP, DNS, firewalls, routers & routing protocols, proxy servers)
*    An understanding of network identity management systems including SSO, SAML, LDAP and Microsoft Active Directory is a plus
*    Programming or scripting proficiency in any language is a plus
*    Outstanding problem-solver who can demonstrate a desire to succeed and takes pride in a strong work ethic
*    Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team-based environment
*    Exhibits strong time management skills in a deadline driven environment
*    Ability to listen to a situation, identify the concern and work to propose best working solutions
*    Results driven focusing on getting the job done
*    Demonstrates a curiosity to reverse engineer and understand why things are the way they are and suggests how they can be done better
*    Strives to identify an area to establish subject matter expertise, contributes to the knowledgebase and culture of the team
*    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
