At Lumense, we are developing chemical and biological sensors based on technology derived from 20 years and $20 million in research at the Georgia Tech Research Institute. Our products are based on a true platform technology, from which dozens of products are being launched.
We are seeking to hire a Sensor Electronics Development Intern who can help our efforts and gain hands-on experience in embedded electronic sub-system hardware development.
This Position Will …
Design and Model electronic circuits
Select components for electronic circuits
Design printed circuit boards (PCB)
Perform PCB construction validation
Debug, Test and Integrate PCBs into our products
Skills & Requirements
Current BS, MS or PhD student in CS or ECE
Basic understanding of electrical and software engineering
Some experience (lab courses) in hardware, software and firmware partitioning.
Software skills including C/C++, and/or Assembly, Labview, MatLab programming.
Knowledge of board level hardware design tools.
Experience developing and debugging test setups (lab experience).
Knowledge of basic electronic lab equipment such as V/I meters, O-scopes, etc.
Good written and oral communication of technical material.
An ability to work effectively and proactively and create solutions
An ability to achieve success under the constraints of a start-up company environment.
Nice to Have:
Working knowledge of mechanical and chemical engineering fundamentals is a plus.
