Position Summary

Software Development Engineer, Results Intelligence

Position Description

Due to continued growth, SIMULIA R&D is looking for a candidate with expertise in web development technologies to join a team developing a best in class application suite for analyzing and exploring simulation data within a framework for simulation process and data management. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience development using HTML5, JQuery, JavaScript, JSP, and other web technologies. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of a global development team, participate in requirements analysis, software design, implementation of software solutions and services for data management and visualization in 3D.



B.S. in Computer Science with experience in designing and developing web applications using HTML5, JQuery, JavaScript, JSP


- Experience in web programming technologies: HTML5, JQuery, JavaScript, JSP, Java

- Experience in performance analysis and tuning for web applications desired

- An intuitive and demonstrated understanding of User Interaction concepts and UI design patterns is mandatory

- Strong object oriented programming using formal and contemporary development methodologies

- Strong object-oriented design and UML skills, a good understanding of distributed computing technologies, and demonstrated experience with Visual Studio, Eclipse IDE or any such commercial IDE is a strong requirement

- Experience in C++ also desirable

- Proficiency in writing unit tests and test plans desirable

- Background in statistical analysis, data mining, and multivariate data visualization for scientific data a plus

- Must have good written and verbal communication skills

- Must be an innovative team player and highly motivated to meet the challenges of working with geographically dispersed teams
