As part of the R&D organization, you will be a member of a team that designs, develops and releases consumer software products to support DYMO Labeling and Identification Solutions.  Most projects require coordination between mechanical, electrical, firmware and software engineers to create a complete end-user solution.  As a software developer intern, you will work on software components related to our current labeling solutions as well as have the opportunity to contribute to our next generation PC and mobile platforms.  Through your direct contributions to ensure timely and high quality deliveries to the market, you will gain extensive experience in the full life cycle of software development using the latest Microsoft desktop software technologies.

 

REQUIREMENTS & EDUCATION 

•       Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science.

•       Demonstrated practice and usage of object oriented programming languages and object oriented analysis / design techniques.

•       Demonstrated knowledge of software development life cycle phases.

•       Ability to multi-task a variety of different software development tasks in an energetic and fast paced environment.

•       Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 

•       Microsoft .NET development environment experience with C# and WPF

•       Experience with Linux software development

•       Familiarity with mobile computing platforms such as Android and/or iOS

•       Experience with software development tools such as version control, defect tracking and automated build systems.

•       Knowledge of test driven development and creation of unit/automated tests.

•       Knowledge of Web technologies / Web services.
