General Function:

Assist in the design, development, testing and documentation of software for a medical electronic readout device for a passive implantable pressure sensor.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Assist with the development of future products by designing software and firmware to meet given performance criteria. 
2. Prototype, test, and troubleshoot new designs.
3. Document the software design per CardioMEMS’ ISO 13485 quality system and FDA requirements.
4. Research processors and interface with vendors.
5. Assist and support other employees and teams as necessary.
6. Occasional travel may be required.

Qualifications:

1. C language and Linux experience required.
2. Education/ work experience equivalent to BS in Electrical/Software Engineering degree.
3. Tcl/Tk, DSP, LabVIEW and FPGA experience preferable.
4. Embedded systems experience required.
5. Comfortable with electrical schematics and hardware troubleshooting.
6. Self-starter and able to work independently.
7. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communications skills.
8. Must be comfortable with working alone or in groups on a wide variety of tasks.
