SOFTWARE QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER:
The Software Quality Assurance Engineer position at BrightEdge is an incredible growth opportunity for the right candidate. Interface with feature owners and developers to create robust and comprehensive test plans. Develop, modify and execute software test plans for complex, multi-tiered and multi-tenant cloud-based applications. Perform various kinds of testing to enforce the highest level of product quality for the BrightEdge Platform, used by some of the largest companies in the world.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Fast-paced and intense development environment (SCRUM methodology) with weekly sprints
  • Develop expertise in the product and ensure that features are correctly deployed
  • Develop test plans, test cases, and bug reports assessing quality and associated risk
  • Identify and clearly document errors and inconsistencies in the functionality, usability and performance of the product
  • Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution
  • Interact with customer success teams to ensure timely resolution of issues
EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle and Testing Methodologies
  • Experience in diagnosing, tracking, and resolving quality issues
  • Good understanding of computer science fundamentals
SKILLS:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
  • Familiarity with programming/scripting languages
  • Familiarity with databases
  • Ability to write test plans, test cases and test summary reports
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and pay close attention to detail
