Summer 2014 Intern - Security Assessment Engineer

As a security assessment intern at you will uncover vulnerabilities in our infrastructure and software and help facilitate vulnerability removal. You will participate in penetration tests, information security assessments, and application security assessments on a wide variety of infrastructure and software. You will work with talented technical experts from various teams on a regular basis.


  • Participate in penetration tests and vulnerability assessments.

  • Participate in removal or remediation of vulnerabilities.

  • Participate in development of tools and automation.

  • Research new threats, attack vectors and risks to infrastructure and software.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Pursuing BS/MS

  • Foundational knowledge in computer and network security

  • Knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 and CWE Top 25

  • Desire to gain experience in exploiting web and web services security vulnerabilities including cross-site scripting, cross site request forgery, SQL injection, DoS attacks, XML/SOAP, API attacks, and more.

  • Desire to gain experience in infrastructure and application level penetration testing.

Helpful Skills and Credentials:

  • Mindset of a breaker and penetration tester

  • Experience in software development, Java, PHP, Perl, Python, Ruby, etc…

  • Bug bounty awards

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Ability to execute when given tactical objectives aligning with strategic goals

Internship Program Experience:

During the 12-week internship you will have the opportunity to learn from and network with employees and your peers in the program.
