Description

Appelrouth Tutoring Services is a fast-growing, multi-million dollar education company with offices in Atlanta, DC, and New York. We are looking for an experienced, motivated web application developer to help in aggressively expanding into the online education market. While our initial focus is to leverage over a decade of experience teaching students to create tools to facilitate studying for the major achievement tests (SAT, ACT, PSAT, etc.), our global objective is to have a framework to teach any subject to any student around the world.

Requirements

Our systems use proven technologies to provide a web interface that is accessible by any modern browsing device. Applicants would be required to have extensive knowledge of:

• PHP (5.2+)
• MySQL (5.0+)
• HTML5 and CSS 2/3
• Javascript (jQuery)

In addition, knowledge of the following is preferred:

• Java
• Git
• Memcached
• Amazon Web Services (S3, EC2, RDS, etc.)
• MVC frameworks (CodeIgniter, Symfony, etc.)

Applicants must be able to demonstrate their skills using previous projects and/or references.
